The more I developed the rostrum the less useful the 'mouth aids' seemed to become. I will keep them for small rusps with ill-developed rostra, but I will decrease them in size for large ones, making it clear they are just evolutionary remnants. <br /><br />Nicky, I'm not entirely certain about the drum roll, but most neural control of locomation follows nonlinear dynamics, so I suppose the 'central pattern generator' of rusps does too.
